Hey Everyone!
It has been quite some time since I have written a post about the latest news with me. It has been a busy year in the “real world” which makes it difficult to get gigs together. But luckily, there is a big one right around the corner. A friend of mine, Mckendree, called me up and asked to do a concert together. We scheduled a time and a place and now we present it to you. This is going to be a fantastic show with a great band! The good news is, is that it is all free. It will be held at Wildwood Baptist Church in acworth, ga. Wednesday, September 5th at 6:30pm. For those of you who may have class or are out of town, it would benefit you the most to skip class and /or make a road trip up here.

Mckendree is an amazing musician who is quickly making his way into the Nashville scene. He is currently touring with Britt Nicole and is looking forward to a huge European Tour. He brings a ridiculous amount of energy to the stage that you will want to be a part of. Him and I will be mixing originals during the show.

FLIGHT EP is FINALLY COMPLETED!!

This small, five song EP started in November of 05′ and is just now completed. The only thing we are waiting for is for the duplicating and production to be completed. so hopefully the physical CD will be in my hands in about a month, maybe shorter if the wind blows right. OK. so. ITUNES the new craze! sure it is. your not cool if you dont have an IPOD! well for those of us who have put our compact discs (CD’s) away and have entered the world of invisble music, the world just got a bit sweeter. You can now find “My Famous Year” on Itunes and many other digital distributors. napster, etc. so please! open up the music store and go shopping! feel free to leave a sweet comment as well! thanks.

Soon the new EP will be complete and that will be making its way up there too!

I’m Back!!

Has anybody missed me?! no? thats ok. So, after being back in my hometown of brunswick and having a long relaxing summer of sweet jobs, swimming pools, and sand in my flip flops, its time to get back to business. I now attend the atlanta institute of music and that is a whole lot of work. Its at night during the week, so the only time i have to play is on friday and saturday nights.

In order to kick this year off right i decided to make my first gig up at the wonderful cozzi cafe in acworth. (I have been sick for about a week and am scared that it is not going to subside before friday. say a little prayer that i will get my voice back before then.) I am sure that most of you will be bored this friday and would love to come and welcome me back to town with a beautiful smile! So drive your pretty faces over to Cozzi on Friday night 7-10pm, Jan 27th, find purchase a cup of Joe, find a seat and listen to some tunes we all know, some alex watson classics, and you can be the first to hear some new songs coming out on my EP in the next month or two. hope to see you there! About that EP. i spent some time recording an EP while in brunswick with my friend TJ, it is sounding great and is sounding better as another friend of ours, McKendree is adding some keys to it. Be on the lookout for that soon!

So, I have some pretty cool news to share. I am, as of now, listed on the FEATURED ARTIST section on the home page of awarestore. I will be up there for two weeks (which started tues.) In other news. In the near future I will complete another CD. You may be thinking…dang Al..give me some time to wear the other two out. But no..This is going to be a CD with a few new songs and I am re-doing old classics from the first album and giving a make-over to some others on the “famous year” CD. I am recording it with my good pal T.J. If you have noticed I am not selling the old CD any longer. So for those in need of some “Juliet Road” try to burn it from someone. Or just wait…you can bet that one will be redone very nicely. Keep your eyes peeled.

(does anyone know how to get that online? im an idiot. stick it on bearshare, lime wire, morpheus, whatever)

Summer!

Who’s excited about summer being here? anyone…anyone.? well, I am. I am kinda sad that I am not surrounded by places to play like I was in ATL but Brunswick will have to do. It has been a while since i have added a entry so i figured i would give you all an update.

So I am in my hometown of brunswick, GA this summer. I am doing a lot of music stuff with the TeamEffort mission groups that come in every week and with a church in springfield, GA. But as far as my music stuff. not too much happenin. I thought about recording a CD of some new songs and some good old ones. kind of an acoustic album. Let me know what you think, possible songs to use.

So instead of playing gigs here and there, I am working with dolphin and fishing tours. It is an excellent summer job. Take boat rides, fish, look at animals, and get paid!! I may be attending the Atlanta Institute of Music in January. (I hate spelling January) So be looking for me around that time. Let me know if anyone knows of a really cool place that i could play at or something.

Stay in touch and drop a line some time. And please keep spreading my music around in any way! You all have been a huge help! Take care guys, See you soon!
